Job Description
The Project Supervisor position is an integral part to our technical team. Project Supervisors are responsible for managing the integration team and paying attention to project schedules/budgets. They perform system fabrication and installation both in-house and on-site based on engineering drawings and by applying knowledge and understanding of signal flow, cable types, terminations, networks, and rack fabrication. Candidates should be experienced with different cable and connector types as well as solder, crimp & compression fittings. Overnight and extended travel is required of all integrators.
Some responsibilities of these positions include:
- Supervising of integration team
- Coordinate installation efforts per Project Management direction
- Daily reporting to project manager of site conditions, progress, issues
- Redlining of drawings
- Attendance; if necessary, of on-site meetings with other trades/general contractors
- Fabrication, rack preparation, and systems integration for assigned projects
- Interpret system drawings and understand signal flow
- Prepare all tools and materials prior to a project
- Perform cable pulls between destinations through ceilings, floors, walls and conduit
- Mounting and properly supporting A/V, IT & Broadcast equipment including, but not limited to: switches, patch panels, displays, cameras, speakers, microphones, etc.
- Maintain an organized work area that complies with safety and OSHA regulations both in-house and on-site
- Must uphold Human Circuit standards for cable termination, rack dressing, equipment mounting and system testing
- Must be able to comply with Human Circuit’s regularly scheduled workweek
- Uphold a courteous, professional attitude towards clients and other employees
- Maintain a clean professional appearance as representative of Human Circuit
- Other duties as assigned
The ideal candidate should have the following professional experience and personal attributes:
- Basic understanding of systems components, structured cabling, fiber optics and audio/video signal flow
- Must be able to read plans, room & equipment layouts via CAD
- Must be able to read to understand line diagrams, rack elevations, cable run lists and room layouts
- Must possess an ability to problem solve
- Must be able to lift heavy equipment up to and at times exceeding 50 lbs. and work in varied conditions
- Must be able to climb ladders, scaffolding
- Must be able to operate a power lift
- Must be comfortable with the use of power tools
- Must be able to conform to OSHA requirements
- Ability to understand quality performance with a strong attention to detail
- Time management and organizational skills; ability to perform within tight deadlines
- Must have flexible schedule and can work overtime and/or travel out of town as needed per project requirements
- Valid driver’s license with reliable personal transportation if required
- Must be able to pass a background screening
- Have a positive outlook with a strong sense of motivation, curiosity
- Minimum of two years of experience in the integration field
- Soldering skills and experience preferred
- BICSI, CTS or EPSA certifications preferred
