The Goal: Simplification
“Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication.” ― Leonardo da Vinci
Some call the technology that they create and manufacture; “feature rich.” Most of us would call it overwhelming. Try and demonstrate or teach the average technology user all of the features of their smart device (phone, TV, tablet), laptop or even their television remote and they will quickly become overwhelmed. Ultimately we use a small percentage of the features available on any device. So why do companies make things complicated?…because they can and because they need to make a one-size fit all.
Technologists worth their salt improve the relationship between people and machines. Businesses and organizations often need a technical “translator” to get technology to work for them…producing return on investment (ROI) and workplace advantage and efficiency.
“If you can’t explain it to a six year old, you don’t understand it yourself.” ― Albert Einstein
