Our Work
What We Did to Help Local Government Get the Word Out
The COVID-19 pandemic and civil unrest has put local governments to the test as officials broadcast critical updates and instructions to their communities. In some cases, local officials and community leaders broadcast from remote locations in their city. Locations with no broadcast infrastructure. For example, a high school basketball arena repurposed for daily press conferences. On location with limited internet and bandwidth, Human Circuit established a static route over a cellular access point network (APN), bypassing terrestrial infrastructure and bottlenecks. Bonding multiple LTE connections between access points enabled a live, three camera broadcast with HD video, audio and control from the high school arena to Master Control located several miles away. We created a persistent virtual private network (VPN) between access points that supports bidirectional, low latency transmission between locations. Operators at Master Control can focus, pan, tilt and zoom the cameras in real-time without significant delay.
